FAQ's

What's an Enrolled Agent?

An Enrolled Agent is a professional tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation. An Enrolled Agent is licensed by the Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service. Our license is also good for all state and local taxing agencies in all 50 states. Continuing education is required yearly to maintain our license. We are also required to conduct ourselves with the same standards and ethics as attorneys and certified public accountants. Enrollment dates back to 1884, when Congress acted to regulate persons who represented citizens in their dealings with the Treasury Department, after questionable claims had been presented for Civil War losses.
